Mass of the day in Lourdes:

Homily of the Father Maxence Bertrand :

« John » means « God answers. » It is both a first name and a promise. This child of the miracle, long awaited by Elizabeth and Zechariah, is also a gift. In our expectation of the Lord’s coming, we may wonder how God will answer us.

In Lourdes, with the Marian apparitions, where Mary revealed, after several apparitions, who she was, saying: « I am the immaculate conception », it is also a gift and a promise. It is a promise, because it is, in advance, holy and immaculate, what we are called to become, through the sacraments of the Catholic Church.

Let us ask for this grace to live this Christmas in the Hope and Joy that his call gives, amen. »

Today’s readings:

Wednesday of the Fourth Week of Advent

Lectionary: 199

Reading 1

MAL 3:1-4, 23-24

Thus says the Lord GOD:
Lo, I am sending my messenger
to prepare the way before me;
And suddenly there will come to the temple
the LORD whom you seek,
And the messenger of the covenant whom you desire.
Yes, he is coming, says the LORD of hosts.
But who will endure the day of his coming?
And who can stand when he appears?
For he is like the refiner’s fire,
or like the fuller’s lye.
He will sit refining and purifying silver,
and he will purify the sons of Levi,
Refining them like gold or like silver
that they may offer due sacrifice to the LORD.
Then the sacrifice of Judah and Jerusalem
will please the LORD,
as in the days of old, as in years gone by.

Lo, I will send you
Elijah, the prophet,
Before the day of the LORD comes,
the great and terrible day,
To turn the hearts of the fathers to their children,
and the hearts of the children to their fathers,
Lest I come and strike
the land with doom.

Responsorial Psalm

PS 25:4-5AB, 8-9, 10 AND 14

R. (see Luke 21:28)  Lift up your heads and see; your redemption is near at hand.
Your ways, O LORD, make known to me;
teach me your paths,
Guide me in your truth and teach me,
for you are God my savior.
R. Lift up your heads and see; your redemption is near at hand.
Good and upright is the LORD;
thus he shows sinners the way.
He guides the humble to justice,
he teaches the humble his way.
R. Lift up your heads and see; your redemption is near at hand.
All the paths of the LORD are kindness and constancy
toward those who keep his covenant and his decrees.
The friendship of the LORD is with those who fear him,
and his covenant, for their instruction.
R. Lift up your heads and see; your redemption is near at hand.

Alleluia

R. Alleluia, alleluia.
O King of all nations and keystone of the Church:
come and save man, whom you formed from the dust!
R. Alleluia, alleluia.

Gospel

LK 1:57-66

When the time arrived for Elizabeth to have her child
she gave birth to a son.
Her neighbors and relatives heard
that the Lord had shown his great mercy toward her,
and they rejoiced with her.
When they came on the eighth day to circumcise the child,
they were going to call him Zechariah after his father,
but his mother said in reply,
“No. He will be called John.”
But they answered her,
“There is no one among your relatives who has this name.”
So they made signs, asking his father what he wished him to be called.
He asked for a tablet and wrote, “John is his name,”
and all were amazed.
Immediately his mouth was opened, his tongue freed,
and he spoke blessing God.
Then fear came upon all their neighbors,
and all these matters were discussed
throughout the hill country of Judea.
All who heard these things took them to heart, saying,
“What, then, will this child be? »
For surely the hand of the Lord was with him.

Pope Francis’ greetings to the Roman Curia:

« Humility was Jesus’ gateway to His birth and He invites us to cross it. One cannot overcome humility without humiliation, according to St. Ignatius. (…) The Grace that saves is free, it is not reduced to the price of the things of this world. (…) The Christmas story invites us to take off our armor, to have the courage to get rid of the clothes of our load, the social recognition, the brilliance, the glory of this world and to assume our own humility. (…) We are all lepers, all of us lepers who need to be healed. Christmas is the living memory of this awareness. (…)

Humility is the ability to inhabit without despair, with realism, joy and hope our humanity, loved and blessed by the Lord. Humility is about understanding that we should not be ashamed of our fragility. Jesus teaches us to look at our misery with the same love that we have for a small, fragile child who needs everything.

Without humility, we will seek reassurance and we may succeed, but we will certainly not find what saves us, what can heal us. Wanting to reassure oneself is the most perverse fruit of spiritual worldliness, which reveals a lack of Faith, Hope and Charity and becomes an inability to discern the Truth from things. (…) The opposite of humility is pride. (…) Pride is, Malachi said, like straw: when fire comes, it becomes ash. It burns, it disappears. (…) The proud man who lives in his little world no longer has a root or bud, he lives with the bitter taste of the sterile sadness that invades the heart, as the richest of the elixirs of the devil.

The humble remembers and is fruitful. It has roots and buds, has a joyful heart opening of fecundity. (…) Remembering means learning, reviving and, with gratitude, letting the power of the Holy Spirit ignite our hearts, like the first disciples. But for remembering not to become a prison of the past, we need to be fruitful. (…) The humble knows how to look forward, with a memory full of gratitude. She lives and pushes towards what is unknown.

The proud, on the other hand, repeats itself, stiffens -a rigidity is a current perversion- and locks itself in its repetition. He feels sure of what he knows and feels destabilized by the novelty, because he cannot master it and has lost his memory.

The humble accepts to be questioned, opens himself to the newness and does so, feeling strong of what precedes him, of his roots, of his belonging. His present is inhabited by a past that opens him to the future with Hope. Unlike the proud, the humble knows that neither his merits nor his habits are the principles of the foundations of his existence. He is able to trust. The proud does not have that.

We are all called to humility: to remember and generate, to rediscover with accuracy our relationship with our roots and buds. Without them, we are sick and rotten, to disappear.

Jesus, by entering through the door of humility, opens a way for us. It shows us a way of doing things, a goal.

If it is true that without humility we cannot meet God or experience salvation, it is also true that without humility we cannot meet our neighbour, brother and sister who live next to us. (…) Working together with humility requires participation, communion (not to be confused with uniformity) and mission (accepting the prophecies of others and having a passion for the poor.    We all have poverty. We are called to bring the Good News of the gospel of Jesus Christ to the poor.)

Let us allow ourselves to be evangelized by the humility of the baby Jesus: only by serving and considering work as a service can we truly be useful to all. We are here, me first, to learn to kneel and worship the Lord, in His humility (…). We are like the shepherds, the Magi and Jesus. That is the lesson of Christmas. (…)

Merry Christmas to all and I ask you to pray for me. »

Christmas Blessings from Countdown

How humble is our God, who became a baby like us.

How humble our God, who took the flesh of mortal men.

How humble our God, who laid in an animal’s manger.

How humble our God, who was crucified by men.

And how humble our God, who remains with us in the Bread of Life

a solitary prisoner awaiting our visitation and our love.

In gratitude for our Humble King,

who continues to speak to us, humbly, through his servants throughout the world,

we wish all of you a most blessed Christmas.

As Prince of the Heavenly Legions, I Call You to Prayer with the Heart, to Offer a Moment of Your Day to Intercede for One Another, As Children of the Same Father.

Message of Saint Michael the Archangel to Luz De Maria

Children of Our King and Lord Jesus Christ, Divine Blessing is for all.

AS PRINCE OF THE HEAVENLY LEGIONS, I CALL YOU TO PRAYER WITH THE HEART, TO OFFER A MOMENT OF YOUR DAY TO INTERCEDE FOR ONE ANOTHER, AS CHILDREN OF THE SAME FATHER.

The threats looming over humanity will continue, the darkness advances, it does not stop.

The powers pass from threats to weapons leading all humanity to live in anguish and lack of everything necessary for the subsistence of the human creature.

I protect you, and to protect you, I must first announce to you what you are facing so that each one, in particular, may amend himself spiritually, be a creature of faith and then prepare himself.

Great suffering will befall mankind as the change of the moment approaches.

The power of our King and Lord is infinite, who is like God, no one like God! On Earth there are economic powers that present themselves with human power supplanting the power of God, causing severe damage to man.

Be children attached to the true doctrine, creatures of faith and perseverance. At this time, the Devil undermines, little by little, creatures who are walking beside Our King and Lord Jesus Christ, grafting on them arrogance, impatience, pride and selfishness.

ATTENTION PEOPLE OF GOD! Some fall because of their possessions and contempt for the Holy Trinity and our Queen and Mother.

Mankind must become spiritually channeled, must become more of God, otherwise the Devil will lead them to fall into the greatest sins of the flesh, such as have never been committed before.

Discern, under the protection of the Holy Spirit, the works and acts to follow. The seal of evil is soon to be placed on the human creature, « whoever has ears, let him hear ». (Lk 6,8-13; Rev.2,11)

DISCERN CHILDREN OF GOD, DISCERN.

The major world institutions have submitted in bedience to the earthly powers and humanity is overruled. The new antichrists make themselves known until the master of iniquity makes himself present.

CHILDREN OF GOD, YOU ARE PROTECTED BY THE HOLY TRINITY, BY OUR QUEEN AND MOTHER, BY THE HEAVENLY ARMIES IF YOU ARE CREATURES OF GOOD, DOERS OF THE DIVINE WILL.

I bless you, keep yourselves sheltered in the shadow of the Most High.

Fear not, keep faith, fear not.

I hold my sword aloft as a sign of protection for each of you.

COMMENTARY OF LUZ DE MARIA

Brethren:

We are called by St. Michael the Archangel insistently to do good. And it is that the Christian must distinguish himself by doing good and practicing good works, as Our Lord Jesus Christ commands us.

By fulfilling what is asked of us and offering it for the salvation of souls, we cooperate in the plan of salvation.

St. Michael warns us and we know how much awaits us: the earth continues to tremble, the water scourging the people and the volcanoes giving surprises.

Without losing faith, let us continue to repair, to offer, to love God above all things and our neighbor as well as ourselves, being messengers of God’s love and with St. Michael the Archangel let us say:

Who is like God! No one is like God!

Amen.

After singing for the Holy Spirit to enlighten and inspire me, the cursor of the computer stopped in front of the sentence above and below:

By fulfilling what is asked of us and offering it for the salvation of souls, we cooperate in the plan of salvation.

Another message to prepare for the future times, with this advice:

« In 2019, Father Michel said that a purification was coming, that we should make at least 3 months of provisions (food / water / medicines / various supplies)«

About this article from the site « Peter and the Wolves », I received a sign when I read that Russia would soon invade Ukraine, the beginning of a world war. I interpret this sign as coming from the Holy Spirit, confirming to me that this threat of world war is real.

I propose to continue to pray for peace in the world, in homes and families, peace that can be asked of mary’s immaculate heart, at the beginning of the Rosary, praying that the war cannot begin.
